2005-10-11: Maintenance & Manufacturing Update: Aircraft did not actually lose oil pressure. The lower & upper oil pressure limits for this aircraft are 10 & 100 PSI respectively. These are identified with radial red lines and the instrument has black arcs in the ranges of 10-30 PSI and 60-100 PSI along with a 'green' arc in the range of 30-60 PSI, the latter being the 'Normal operating range'. In this instance, the oil pressure gauge indicated the pressure to be in the black arc just below 30 PSI and the flight crew reported a 'low pressure indication'. The oil pressure transducer was replaced, a run-up was carried out and the aircraft was returned to service.
