Summary

2005-08-26: At 0309Z eastbound DAL44, Boeing 777-200, enroute from Covington (KCVG) to Paris (LFPG), position 52N 46W, 39,000 ft., declared medical emergency (flight attendant) and requested to divert Stephenville (CYJT). ATC was unable to issue immediate turn back clearance due to traffic. Pilot executed contingency procedures for emergency descent and upon reaching 29,000 ft. was cleared direct CYJT. Pilot subsequently decided to divert St. John's (CYYT). Flight landed without further incident at 0440Z. TSB Case Closed.
