2005-08-02: At 1706Z RCH8054, C-17 Globemaster 3 enroute from Ramstein (ETAR) to Bangor (KBGR) at 34,000ft declared an emergency due to an electrical problem and requested to divert to Lajes (LPLA). Aircraft was cleared to 33,000 ft. then direct to LPLA. RCH8054 exited the Gander FIR at approximately 1735Z. ETA LPLA 1835Z. Nil TSB.
