Incident at CHARLOTTETOWN AIRPORT

Summary

2005-07-27: West Jet WJA689 enroute from Charlottetown to Toronto CYYZ departed runway 21 at 2236. Pilot called several minutes later requesting a check to see if there was any indication of a bird strike since they had disturbed a flock of seagulls on rotation. Red 7 was called to check and reported finding the remains of 5 seagulls on the runway. Aircraft was advised of inspection results and continued on to Toronto. No damage to aircraft was reported. Nil TSB.
