Incident at Gander Oceanic 59N40W
2005-07-26: Enroute from Keflavik to GooseBay At 1448Z westbound CFPRP, LJ35, position 59N 40W, FL320, declared an emergency, advised descending to FL250 and returning to Keflavik (BIKF) due to an over heated cabin. Nil traffic on descent. Gander ACC issued return clearance at FL250. At 1454Z pilot advised ATC that the emergency had been dealt with but the flight was still returning to BIKF. Nil TSB .
2005-08-02: TSB Update - A05A0093: The Skyservice Aviation Incorporated Lear 35, C-FPRP, was on a Medevac flight westbound to Goose Bay (CYYR) at FL320 when the crew declared an emergency at 1448 UTC. They advised Gander ACC that they were descending to FL250 and returning to Keflavik (BIKF) due to a pressurization related problem resulting in an over heated cabin. Gander ACC issued a return clearance to Keflavik at FL250. At 1454 UTC the crew advised Gander ACC that the emergency had been dealt with and were continuing to Keflavik. Maintenance could not reproduce the problem on the ground and it was attributed to a momentary electrical issue. The system was reset and the aircraft ground checked serviceable.
