Summary

2005-07-26: Enroute from LosAngeles to Paris Charles de Gaulle Eastbound Air France 069, B772, position 61N40W, advised ATC at 0848Z that the fight had descended from cleared FL370 to FL340 due severe turbulence. Nil traffic during descent but ATC unable to approve FL340 due to impending traffic. AFR069 cleared to maintain FL350 and reported reaching at 0902Z. Pilot did not indicate whether or not he implemented contingency procedures for emergency descent. Nil TSB .
