Incident at 98 miles west of FOCUS


2005-07-18: TSB Update: A05A0086: Air France 033, A Boeing 777-200 en route from Houston to Charles Degaulle, was flight planned JOBOC - FOCUS - RONPO. The aircraft entered Moncton airspace five minutes earlier than anticipated, 98 miles west of FOCUS (42:30N 060:00W), a deviation of about fity miles. The pilot had deviated due to weather; however, no approval to deviate had been issued by either New York or Moncton. The aircraft was recleared direct RONPO. There was no loss of separation
2005-07-13: AFR033, Boeing 777-200 enroute from Houston (KIAH) to Paris (LFPG) flight planned JOBOC - FOCUS - RONPO, entered QM airspace 98 miles west of FOCUS. Pilot said he had deviated due to weather. No approval to deviate had been issued. Aircraft was recleared direct RONPO. TSB Case Closed.
