Incident at GOOSE BAY NL (CYYR)

Summary

2005-07-05: ACA882 Boeing 767-200 enroute from Toronto (CYYZ) to Paris (LFPG)) advised of electrical burning smell in the cockpit, declared an emergency and requested to divert to Goose Bay (CYYR). Aircraft was cleared direct Goose bay. Nil traffic. Nil fuel dump required. Aircraft did a straight in approach for Runway 08 but because of high approach speed and surface winds circled for Runway 26. Aircraft landed at 0529Z.
