Incident at 62N060W


2005-06-28: BAW48 B747-400 enroute Seattle (KSEA) to London (EGLL) at 0614Z checked position 62N060W. At 0615Z advised of medical emergency 73 yr old female, wheelchair passenger, with possible virus or allergic reaction (insect bite), passenger in no distress, doctor in attendance. Flight requested to divert to Gander. BAW48 given clearance to proceed direct PRAWN Ho Gander. Gander had Montreal move 1 A/C under radar coverage from 36,000 feet to 37,000 feet to accommodate the diversion. At 0648Z BAW48 requested to divert to Goose Bay. Cleared as requested. BAW48 landed CYYR at 0737Z. Nil TSB
