Incident at Between 47 West and 50 West south of 45 North. (Conflict - loss of separation)


2005-06-10: TAP104 A343 enroute Newark (KEWR) to Lisboa (LPPT) and LTU415 A332 enroute from Cancun (MMUN) to Munchen (EDDM). TAP104 37,000 ft 45N050W 0122 44N040W 0211 LTU415 37,000 ft descending to 36,000 ft 44N050W 0126 48N040W 0223. Aircraft were both eastbound, and tracks were crossing. Eastbound estimate to New York had been passed on TAP104 at 37,000 ft. New York recieved approval for LTU415 to enter Gander Oceanic at 36,000 ft. Flight was required to be level 36,000 at 44N050W in order to maintain lateral separation with TAP104. New York stated that LTU415 did not receive its descent clearance until 0134z (11 minutes after passing 44N050W). Aircraft had less than required lateral separation at that time.
