Incident at DEER LAKE NL (CYDF) (Other operational incident)


2005-06-21: The emergency exit door lock was found to be out of adjustment and not providing positive locking action. A Fleet campaign was undertaken and all other fleet aircraft were found to have positive locking on the handle. The referenced check is also completed at each ""C"" check (6 year) and each 300 hour or ""B"" check cycle with visual checks carried out at each 50 hour or ""A"" check and a security check at each preflight check. No further action required at this time.
2005-06-06: TKR284 CL2P departed Deer Lake (CYDF) for a fire mission in Plum Point at 1901Z. JZA8907 DH8A departing Deer Lake (CYDF) for Halifax (CYHZ), backtracked runway 25 in Deer Lake and reported a hatch and a rubber seal on the runway dropped from TKR284. Airport maintenance was dispatched and items retrieved. JZA8907 departed at 1910Z. TKR284 returned and landed at 1911Z without incident. Nil TSB
