Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)

Summary

2005-06-01: TSB Update: A05A0062: Approximately 80 nm south of Halifax the crew of American Airlines flight 66, a Boeing 777-223 noticed fumes in the cabin, and declared an emergency. The flight diverted to Halifax where the aircraft landed at 23:21 with ERS on alert. After landing the aircraft was inspected by ERS. There was no indication of fire. As fumes dissipated, the aircraft was taxied into the gate where normal deplaning occurred.
2005-05-30: AAL66 B777-200 enroute Chicago (KORD) to London (EGLL) at approximately 80 NM south of Halifax, the pilot declared an emergency due to fumes in the cabin and diverted to Halifax NS. Landed at 0222Z. TSB Case Closed
