Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)

Summary

2005-05-26: RCC Halifax called Halifax Tower to advise that they had received a report of an aircraft in distress over St. Margarets's Bay. There were 2 light aircraft in the area and a Military Aurora CP140 on a training exercise. RCC called back at 1910z to advise that the Aurora was heading back to their Greenwood base and it is suspected that this was the aircraft originally thought to be in distress. 16 ambulances were activated to respond and were stood down. No impact on airport operations. Nil TSB
