Incident at ST. STEPHEN NB (CCS3)

Summary

2005-04-27: Pilot of N7680K telephoned the Halifax FIC to close a transborder VFR flight plan form 4508N 06718W to St. Stephen NB. Since Halifax FIC did not have a flight plan on this aircraft, a check with Bangor FSS confirmed that the pilot had filed a VFR flight plan but it was not activated. There may have been a misunderstanding between the pilot and Bangor FSS as to the assumed activation of the flight plan at a set time.
