Summary

2005-04-18: JZA7665 reported item on runway 27 while commencing backtrack for departure. RED5 checked rwy and found a metal cyclinder with threads on one end and several holes. Dark substance found inside cyclinder. It was determined that the part belongs to a GNBO PA27 DEP 1436z. TSB Evaluating

2005-04-20: JZA7665 reported item on runway 27 while commencing backtrack for departure. RED5 checked rwy and found a metal cyclinder with threads on one end and several holes. Dark substance found inside cyclinder. It was determined that the part belongs to a GNBO PA28 DEP 1436z. TSB Evaluating
2005-04-20: Update April 19 2005. TSB advise that the piece was a part that holds the PA28 wheel pant on. The wheel pants were removed at the time for winter operations. The pilot was notified and returned to the ramp before taking-off.
