Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2005-04-05: CTG127 (B06 helicopter) was working the threshold of runway 24 with a restriction to remain north of runway 11/29. The helicopter experienced a radio failure and squawked 7600. The helicopter was given a red light signal and held his position. An Air Canada A320 was 4 miles final runway 11 with a landing clearance. Once the A320 landed, CTG127 was given a green light signal and proceeded to the apron for landing. The pilot of CTG127 called the tower after landing to advise that he had seen the light signals. The pilot could not transmit and tower transmissions were broken and unreadable. Nil TSB.
