2005-03-10: TSB Update A05A0031: The Provincial Airlines Dash 8, call-sign SPR901, was on approach into Wabush when the flight attendant noted a strong electrical smell in the cabin in the area adjacent to the Passenger Service Unit panel at seat 8A. No evidence of smoke or heat was noted. The flight attendant notified the flight crew who then briefed the passengers, notified the tower, declared an emergency and landed uneventfully at 1255 AST. During the inspection on the ground, the crew was unable to pin-point the source of the smell. Maintenance was dispatched to Wabush for investigation and repair.
