Summary

2005-02-28: JGO172 MD83 departing St. John's (CYYT) for Halifax (CYHZ) had just started take-off roll on Runway 11 and rejected the take-off. The aircraft hit a patch of slush on the runway and ingested some in one engine. No assistance was required, and the flight taxied back to the ramp. Last runway reported conditions were at 0809z (70% bare wet, 10% ice, 20% slush 1/8"" on a 160ft centerline, remainder of runway 90% slush 1/2"", 10% ice. Nil TSB
