Incident at CYYT 40 NM East


2005-02-25: Maintenance and Manufacturing Update: Approximately 80 NM miles outbound from YYT number 1 alternator failed. Checklist procedure carried out, alternator reset and failed again, system secured and aircraft returned to YYT. YYT maintenance confirmed Number 1 alternator at fault, unit replaced and tested serviceable. Aircraft returned to service with no further problem.
2005-02-22: The Cougar Helicopter AS 332 (CHI33) departed CYYT at 1830Z for the Hibernia oilrig. At 1850Z the aircraft reported it was returning to CYYT due electrical problem. No emergency declared or assistance required. Aircraft landed at 1921Z
