Incident at 7 minutes East of 46N040W


2005-02-11: RCH127 C5 enroute Charleston (KCHS) to Rota (LERT) at 29,000 feet declared an emergency and advised shutting down #2 engine. This was a precautionary measure to prevent engine seizure due to loss of quantity of engine oil. A/C initially requested and cleared to 21,000 feet, subsequently recleared at 26,000. A/C also requested and given clearance to divert to LPLA. RCH127 exited Canadian Airspace at 0200Z. Nil TSB
