2005-01-25: N812NK, a MD82, was IFR from Detroit (KDTW) to Keflavik (BIKF). At 0435Z, abeam CYBC, the Moncton controller queried the pilot as to whether the flight was RVSM and MNPS certified in response to a request by the Gander Planner. The pilot replied ""Not really, we've got to go down to 270, I guess."" Flight data received by Moncton indicated that the aircraft was RVSM certified. No traffic was affected in Moncton airspace. Montreal shift manager advised and he was going to advise Toronto shift manager.
2005-01-27: Nav Canada Update: Subsequent investigation by Head Office determined the aircraft was RVSM equipped but not MNPS equipped
