Incident at SAINT JOHN NB (CYSJ)

Summary

2005-01-18: CFIMP C550 called some distance away from Saint John (CYSJ) for weather update. Aircraft was handed off to FSS by Moncton ACC 25nm west. After aircraft was observed on NARDS entering the CYSJ MF area without calling YSJ radio, FSS attempted to establish contact. No joy - three times. Aircraft landed on runway 05, still no radio contact. Just prior to exiting the runway, radio communication was established. Pilots claimed radio problems, but did not hear ACC or FSS radio calls prior to that.
