2005-02-14: TSB Update: A05A0013: TSH916, a Regional 1 Airlines De Havilland DHC-8, was en route from Deer Lake to St. John's, NL when the number one hydraulic isolation valve light illuminated. The crew completed the appropriate checklist, declared an emergency, and requested assistance as the main wheel brakes, anti-skid braking and flaps would not be available on landing. The aircraft landed safely without further incident. Maintenance inspection revealed that an ""O""-ring on the wheel brake shuttle valve had failed resulting in the depletion of all fluid from the number one hydraulic system. Necessary repairs were completed and the aircraft has since been returned to service.
