Incident at LYNN LAKE MB (CYYL)

Summary

2003-09-19: The pilot of C-GXBO, a Cessna 172, reported 8 NM east of Lynn Lake (YYL) at 1720Z and the mike stuck open at that time. The weather was below VFR so the FSS obtained Special VFR from Winnipeg ACC. Although authorization for SVFR could not be delivered to the pilot (due to the stuck mike), the pilot proceeded inbound. The pilot made frequent broadcasts announcing his position and landed at YYL and taxied in announcing when off the runway.
