Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

2003-12-16: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the Calgary Airport Authority has a comprehensive wildlife management program in place which was in effect at the time of occurrence. The aircraft struck a group of loafing Ring billed gulls killing six. The aircraft was delayed for about two hours while company maintenance personnel inspected the aircraft for damage, none was found and the aircraft was then released to service
2003-09-17: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that the company did a bird strike inspection on the a/c. Evidence of birdstrike was found on the R/H Krueger Flaps and the L/H Krueger Flap well areas. The a/c was cleaned up and no damage was noted.
2003-09-15: WJA 106, a B737-700, was departing Calgary for Vancouver when the crew rejected the takeoff when it went through a flock of seagulls on the runway. The flight crew returned to the terminal to examine the a/c for damage. Four or five dead birds were found on the runway.
