Incident at LETHBRIDGE AB (CYQL)

Summary

2003-12-18: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the Lethbridge Airport Authority has a wildlife management program in place and was in effect at the time of this occurrence. The landing aircraft encountered a flock of gulls while on short final for Runway 23. The crew landed the aircraft without further incident. The aircraft was inspected for damage after it was shut down and deplaned. There was no damage found and the aircraft was returned to service. The remains of one sea gull was located and removed by airport personnel.
2003-09-09: GLR 7229, a Beech 1900, was on short final for Runway 23 at Lethbridge when it struck a bird. No report of any damage to the aircraft and the bird was removed by airport personnel. No impact on other aircraft.
