Incident at WHITEHORSE/ ERIK NIELSEN INTL (CYXY)

Summary

2003-09-08: Following the arrival of FAB 150, an ATR 42, at Whitehorse, the pilot reported finding bird remains on the fuselage. Other remains were found on the runway. There was no damage to the a/c.
2003-12-15: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the Whitehorse Airport Authority has an active and ongoing wildlife and management program, which was in effect at the time of the occurrence. The bird was identified as a Kestrel which is commonly known as a Sparrow Hawk. There was no reported aircraft damage.
