Incident at KUGLUKTUK NU (CYCO)

Summary

2003-09-08: C-FBQH, a Bell 206 helicopter, was on a VFR flight from Cambridge Bay to Kugluktuk when the pilot reported an equipment failure and did a precautionary landing at 6813N 10934W. Another Bell 206 helicopter, C-GQEZ, diverted to provide assistance. Type of equipment failure not reported. TSB reported that the pilot observed the generator light illuminate and he elected to make a precautionary landing. The company subsequently flew an engineer to the site, where a replacement generator was installed and the a/c flown to destination.
