Incident at WHITECOURT AB (CYZU)

Summary

2003-08-25: The crew of CNK 242, a Beech King Air 100, rejected their takeoff at Whitecourt due to smoke from an engine. After conducting some checks, the flight departed without incident.
2003-08-27: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that the Sunwest Home Aviation Quality Assurance reported that the pilot observed a white plume near the right engine on takeoff. The takeoff was rejected as a precaution. Subsequent ground runs conducted by the crew at Whitecourt determined that the white plume observed was caused by water vapour from the propeller wash. The aircraft departed Whitecourt with no subsequent abnormal reports. Conditions at the time of departure included high humidity.
