Incident at IQALUIT NU (CYFB)

Summary

2003-08-25: FAB 5866, a B727, departed Iqaluit for Kuujjuaq and shortly after takeoff, the crew declared an emergency due to a problem with the number 3 engine. The flight returned and landed uneventfully. TSB Montreal reported that the engine was intentionally shut down following an engine fire warning. The indication ceased and there was no requirements to discharge the fire bottles. The source of the fire warning was a TAI leak due to a separated coupling.
