Accident at YORKTON MUNI SK (CYQV)

Summary

2003-08-22: The Quad City, Challenger II ultralight aircraft, registration C-IAVB was landing on a grid road in Pelly, Saskatchewan. During the landing roll, the aircraft veered to the left and struck the embankment of a ditch. The pilot was not injured and the aircraft received substantial damage. It was reported that shortly after touchdown directional control was lost due to the gravel. The pilot advised that there were no pre-impact engine or airframe anomalies.
