Summary

2003-11-07: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the individuals were two young men from Northern Manitoba who were riding double on a bicycle. They were unsure of where they were and entered airport property at the Department of National Defence location on the west side of the airport. They proceeded through an open gate and subsequently found themselves on a runway. The airport Duty Manager was alerted and both individuals were taken into custody. After a check and confirmation of their story, the young men and their bicycle were released.
2003-08-20: The driver of Staff 38 advised the Winnipeg International Airport Ground Controller that he was in pursuit of 2 bicyclists on Runway 07. The airport authority was alerted and the cyclists were taken into custody. No aircraft were involved.
