Incident at LETHBRIDGE AB (CYQL) (Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)

Summary

2003-08-18: A CF-18 Hornet (DND) landed on Runway 05 at Lethbridge and blew a tire, which then caught on fire. Emergency Services were dispatched to put out the fire and the aircraft was stuck on the runway until 22:55Z before it could be removed. The other runway normally available at the airport was being used as a static display for the upcoming airshow so it was not usable. As a result, the airport was closed to traffic for 2 hours and 40 minutes. No mention of how many aircraft were affected by this closure.
