Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG)

Summary

2003-08-19: TSB advised that the Perimeter Airlines Swearintgen SA226-TC aircraft, C-GIQK, was on a scheduled flight from Winnipeg to Island Lake, Manitoba. When the aircraft was approximately 100 miles from Winnipeg, the annunciator panel malfunctioned, indicating a flashing Stability Augmentation System (SAS)de-ice but no other warnings. The flight returned and landed, without incident, at Winnipeg. The annunciator panel was replaced, the aircraft was successfully test flown and returned to service.
2003-08-12: PAG 621, a Metro II, was 150 NM north of Winnipeg on a flight to Island Lake when the crew advised they were returning due to an abnormal cockpit indication. The flight landed uneventfully on Runway 13 at 1813Z. TSB will contact the company.
