Incident at EDMONTON INTL AB (CYEG)

Summary

2003-08-12: C-GWAU, a Cessna 182, flew through the Edmonton International Airport control zone 5 NM east of the airport at 4,500 feet from south to north with no radio contact with Tower. IFR departures were delayed until the a/c was clear. At 8 NM northeast of YEG, C-GWAU was observed descending toward Cooking Lake, then diverted to City Centre Airport. Runway 12 at YEG was active at the time. Weather at YEG was: 0000Kt 4SM BR BKN 007 BKN 120 14/12 3003
