Summary

2003-08-12: The pilot of the LET Blanik L-33 SOLO glider, C-GZFP, had encountered a strong southwest wind while on a local flight, and was attempting an outlanding about 7.5 miles downwind from the Cu-Nim Gliding Club's base airport just east of Black Diamond, AB. On the approach to a chosen field, the RH wing hit a tree, and the glider was substantially damaged. The pilot was uninjured.
