Summary

2003-08-07: Shortly after departing Runway 31 at the Winnipeg Intl Airport, the pilot of a Fast Air Piper PA-31 Navajo, C-GMDL, observed the manifold pressure on the right engine slowly drop, with smoke coming out of the cowling. The pilot requested a return to the airport and landed safely with the right engine feathered and AFF standing by. The problem was traced to a seized turbo charger on the Avco Lycoming TIO-540 engine.
