Incident at EDMONTON INTL AB (CYEG) (Conflict - loss of separation, ATS operating irregularity)

Summary

2003-11-07: UPDATE ANS and Airspace reported that Nav Canada will hold an Operational Safety Investigation (OSI) concerning this occurrence.
2003-08-07: WJA 34, a B737-200, was on vectors to Runway 02 at Edmonton International Airport and at the same time PE 71, a PA-31 Navajo was en route to Edmonton City Center. Both aircraft were cleared to maintain 6,000 feet and lateral separation decreased to 2.41 NM in an area where 3 NM is required. Vertical separation was less than 1,000 feet.
