Accident at 10 NM NE of Strasbourg


2003-08-06: The West Central Air Piper PA-25-235 sprayer, C-FFNU, was starting a spray run on a crop near Strasbourg, SK, when the aircraft struck a farm service electrical line, breaking three power poles and dragging the line. The aircraft was pulled down into an adjacent field, sustaining substantial damage. The pilot suffered serious injuries. The pilot reported the accident to emergency authorities via cell phone. The accident resulted in a spill of Pyrinex insecticide.
