Accident at Kississing Lake

Summary

2003-08-05: The Kississing Lake Lodge float-equipped Cessna 180A, C-GKIE, was departing Kississing Lake, MB, for an outpost camp on Cairns Lake. Reportedly, after takeoff, the pilot established a positive rate of climb and continued towards the shoreline. Shortly after becoming airborne the aircraft flew into the water. The pilot and sole occupant escaped with minor injuries. There was no wind and glassy water conditions were reported by the company owner and pilot.
