Incident at GODS LAKE NARROWS MB (CYGO)
2003-08-06: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that the pilot in command was the PRM for the company. The brake reservoir was serviced, a snag generated in the logbook and a bleed valve fitting on one of the right brakes was tightened prior to departure. Upon arrival in YWG for a scheduled inspection, the brakes were bled and the snag rectified. The aircraft is on amphibian floats and this was the first land-based landing in 4 days.
2003-07-24: While taxing to the runway for departure from God's Lake Narrows, the pilot of a Knee Lake Air Service Cessna 208 Caravan, C-FKLR, lost right braking action. The pilot attempted to stop the aircraft but it rolled off the side of the taxiway. There was no injury or damage to the aircraft. On landing at God's Lake Narrows, the brakes felt soft and had to be pumped to maintain braking action. The pilot inspected the aircraft and noticed that a bleed valve fitting on one of the right brakes was leaking: the fitting was tightened prior to departure. After the incident, the hydralic reservoir was filled and the aircraft departed without further incident.
