2003-08-06: UPDATE TSB reported that as per NOTAM, the pilot of a Transwest Air Cessna 310, C-GAON conducted a low pass over the runway at PineHouse, SK to check for work in progress. On the northbound fly-by, the pilot noticed that the 3 knot winds were favoring Runway 34, however were calm enough to turn around to land on Runway 16. The aircraft's airspeed was approximately 10 knots high on approach and touchdown was made about 200'+ down the 3000' gravel runway. Upon application of brakes, the right brake pedal bottomed and the aircraft ran off the end of runway ending up about 200' past the threshold lights. No injuries were reported. Aircraft damage was limited to one blade on the right propeller which had struck a rock. Maintenance personnel traced the right brake problem to a leaking brake line at the brake caliper.
