Incident at GRANDE PRAIRIE AB (CYQU)

Summary

2003-07-18: The pilot of C-GNYF, a Beech Bonanza that had departed Grande Prairie, advised FSS when he was 27 NM from the airport that he was getting an improper gear indication and he was returning to Grande Prairie. No ERS was required. The pilot did a fly by for visual confirmation his nose gear was down and then landed safely. Once on the ground and on the ramp, the pilot checked his gear and then departed again without incident. No impact on other aircraft. The cause of the gear problem is not known.
2003-08-06: UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that one gear switch had mud on it, which prevented one light from coming on. He cleaned it off and the gear lights have worked fine since the incident.
