Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG)

Summary

2003-08-06: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the Airport Duty Manager was notified of the incident by the Control Tower. A search for the bird was conducted but none was found. There was no evident damage to the aircraft. It was reported by the flight crew that the incident happened on short final to Runway 31 at an approximate altitude of 150 feet. No further action is required.
2003-07-16: After landing, the crew of JGO 109, an MD-83, reported a bird strike on short final for Runway 31 at Winnipeg. The type of bird is unknown, although it was described as large and black. There was no damage reported.
