Incident at POND INLET NU (CYIO)


2003-07-15: N134MA, a Champion 8GCBC, was enroute from Broughton Island to Pond Inlet when the pilot reported to Arctic Radio that due to a malfunction in his fuel pumping system, the engine was only getting fuel from one tank. He stated he felt he might not reach his destination because of this. The crew of VIR 19 relayed this message to Arctic Radio (1820Z) and then the crew of UAL 931 relayed another message to Arctic Radio (1840Z) that the pilot of the distressed aircraft had his destination in sight and landed safely shortly after that.
