Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG) (ATM - other)
2003-07-10: Nav Canada technicians attempted to re-set the Winnipeg Flight Information Centre telephone Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) system to correct a fault concerning dial out capability. The ACD locked up and could not be re-started for approximately 25 minutes. This resulted in the total loss of operational telephone capability. No weather briefing, flight planning or other services were provided via telephone during the time in question. Normal services resumed after 1945Z.
