Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

2003-07-07: UAL 1060, a B737-700, was departing on Runway 28 at Calgary for Denver when the crew reported a bird strike on rotation. The Airport Duty Manager was advised and a dead sea gull was found on the runway. The information was passed to the crew UAL 1060. There was no report of damage and no delays to other aircraft.
2003-12-04: UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the Airport Authority at Calgary has a comprehensive wildlife program in place with wildlife control personnel on duty daily. There wasn't any unusual bird activity at the time of this occurrence. UAL 1060 struck a Ring-billed gull on rotation. There was no reported aircraft damage, so the crew elected to continue to Denver, where an uneventful approach and landing was conducted.
