Incident at RESOLUTE BAY NU (CYRB)

Summary

2003-07-04: KBA 291, a Beech King Air 100, departed Resolute Bay for Pond Inlet and shortly after takeoff, the crew advised they were returning due to an engine problem. They declared an emergency and the local ERS was alerted. KBA 291 landed safely on Runway 35T at 1244Z. TSB will contact the company.
2003-07-08: UPDATE TSB reported that KBA 291, a Beechcraft A100 aircraft, registration C-GAVI had departed Resolute Bay. During the climb the right hand bleed air failure light illuminated. The crew elected to shut the right engine (P&W PT6-28) down and return to the Resolute Bay airport. The crew declared an emergency and ERS was advised. The aircraft then landed without further incident. The operator advised that the bleed air line was replaced and the aircraft was returned to service.
