Incident at CALGARY INTL AB (CYYC)

Summary

2003-06-27: At 2055Z, the crew of C-FAFS, a Beech King Air 100 that was taxiing for departure at Calgary, advised of a fuel spill and was shutting down and evacuating the aircraft. CFR and Duty Manager were advised. The taxiway was closed for clean-up. The occurrence resulted in some delays due to numerous other taxiway closures.
2003-07-16: UPDATE The company reported that on taxi, the a/c had some fuel released from the auxiliary vents at the inboard nacelle on both wings. Upon inspection of the fuel schematic for this aircraft, it is believed that a nacelle flapper valve failure on both nacelle tanks caused fuel to vent. New flapper valves will be installed at the earliest convenience.
