Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG)
2003-06-27: UPDATE TSB reported that the Perimeter Airlines Swearingen SA226-TC, C-FIIA, was on final approach to Winnipeg, MB. Both left and right hydraulic lights illuminated and the hydraulic pressure guage dropped below 1000 psi. An overshoot and emergency gear extension were accomplished. The aircraft landed without further incident with ERS on standby. Reportedly, a hydraulic line had cracked.
2003-06-25: PAG 208, a Metro II, was on final for Runway 31 at Winnipeg when the crew advised of an abnormal hydraulic indication. They elected to overshoot and complete some checks. Subsequently, the crew advised of a hydraulic failure and requested emergency services. They did an emergency gear extension and returned to land safely and taxied to the apron. GRIZ 02 had to execute a low approach rather than a touch and go. ACA 1172 was delayed briefly on the ground. Maintenance discovered that the left hydraulic line had failed.
